We were delighted to complete the formal handover earlier this week of a new ABI TM22 Mobilram with MRZV36VV Vibrator to our friends at VolkerGround Engineering Ltd. The relationship between ABI and our loyal customer can be traced back more than 30-years, so we were delighted to see them add one of our flagship TM22’s to their UK fleet of ABI piling rigs.
Tim Davidson and Martin Knight of VGE are pictured here formally receiving the TM22 from our MD Mark Lee. Having recently hired a TM22 for an extensive project at Luton Airport, Tim commented “we were very impressed with the capability and overall efficiency of this powerful leader rig. We were installing large pairs of AZ sheet piles into tough ground at Luton and we needed a stout leader rig with a vibrator that could give us precise control at the start of the drive but significant amplitude in our heavy piles once soil conditions firmed-up.”
Set in the background is their previously purchased ABI TM13/16SL Mobilram, still looking resplendent in the fine May sunshine.
The new TM22 with 470kW EU Stage IV compliant engine is equipped with ABI’s patented Efficiency Drive I & II Systems offering unprecedented fuel efficiency together with greatly reduced exhaust and sound emission levels.
